THE GREAT RIFT
« Working-class districts & gangs »
THE GREAT RIFT is ZOZO CITY’s working-class heart: the densest, loudest, and probably hardest zone to govern. Street businesses, cramped housing, gangs, and an underground economy coexist in a disorder that has become almost institutional.
The zone is governed by the Governor Marcus White.
Overview
WHERETHE CITYOVERFLOWS
In LA GRANDE FAILLE, everything spills into the street: business, arguments, schemes, and score-settling. Much of ZOZO CITY lives here, with little room but never little activity.
Gangs matter without defining the zone, which creates its own businesses, music, codes, and indispensable underground economy. Here, hustling is less a choice than an unofficial public service.
Marcus White promises order, investment, and public services; residents mostly wait for elections to see all three together. Calling LA GRANDE FAILLE the city’s problem conveniently avoids explaining why all its problems end up here.

EXPLORE THE GREAT RIFT
THE RESIDENTIAL DISTRICT
Thousands of residents, glowing windows, and batteries on every corner. Here, quiet is mostly a matter of timing.

ZOOLOO BURGER
Advertising dominates the street all the way beneath the tracks. In THE GREAT RIFT, businesses compete for every facade.

KONBINI SEVEN
Open late, sometimes very late, often too late. You can find almost anything here, especially after the official stores have closed.

THE ELEVATED METRO
Trains pass through the buildings right beside the windows. Here, the network is part of the scenery.

THE SHOPPING STREET
Cool Donuts and Bento Beni light up the street. Businesses stay open as long as the neighborhood remains standing.

ZECOLA
Zecola campaigns appear even in inner courtyards. Even the neighborhood walls do business.

ZOZO CITY
The ZOZO CITY sign lights up the rooftops above the streets and glowing windows.

THE CEMETERY
Between the buildings, gravestones and statues fill a misty courtyard.
