BANKNOTE: 10 ZENS

01 · AUREL KANDA
1820 - 1891
The official version of the truth
Aurel Kanda was the Voice of the City, able to tell three contradictory versions of an event and get the audience to applaud all three. He never lied; he adapted the facts to the audience.
He negotiated peace before the war and saved the city before the danger. The archives confirmed everything, since he thoughtfully supplied them with his account.
Every contradiction was out of context; every complete context was manipulated. His portrait belonged on the 10 Zens note: paper gains value once everyone agrees to believe it does.
